Christmas Fun
So I don't know if this is considered fun, but I made 72 salted caramel hot chocolates and 72 bags of bark for Alex's staff and coworkers, Nathan's teachers, and our neighbors. It literally took all day long. So glad that is done!
The boys also finally got to go see Santa. I was a little worried it wouldn't happen because we all got a quick little stomach bug this past week. So that was fun.
Yummy Yummy! I had to make my moms christmas cut out cookies. The boys are very excited to decorate them!
And last but not least. I made some smores hot chocolate and it was amazing! Anyone who reads this must make. It is a little more time consuming then ripping open a hot chocolate packet, but only 5 minutes more and a few more dishes, but oh so worth it. Blake enjoyed his so much that he got graham cracker on his forehead.
Our Crazy Life
For some reason I thought that our lives would slow down once we moved into the house. For some reason, I was wrong! We have been non stop sick since we moved in and then this ceiling thing happens. Our water hose that connects to our fridge popped off while our friend was watching our kids one night. She went downstairs and our ceiling was raining. Luckily our brand new hardwood floors weren't ruined, but we did have to cut out part of our ceiling. Being a home owner really stinks sometimes!

Gingerbread and Fireplaces
Our family gingerbread house which we made. Nathan and Blake were dipping candy into sugar and eating it that night. I wonder why Nathan complained of his tummy hurting that night?!
It is now a tradition as long as we live in Asheville to go see the national gingerbread house competition at Grove Park Inn during christmas time. This was the first place winner.
My particular favorite because of the blue glass mason jars.
I have been wanting these hideous 1970's doors off my fireplace and finally they are gone and man o man do they look better!

Bubble Bath
We went to Alex's parents this weekend for a little R and R, plus we wanted to see some family and just get away from our project ridden house. The boys needed a bath and so why not a bubble bath, right? They had so much fun, if you can't tell by the pictures!
Young Women Christmas Party
This past week we had the young women christmas party at my house and it was so much fun. We dressed up as santa (with paper beards) and had christmas karaoke and secret santa gift exchange. So much fun, I love my calling!

Crafting
Well first of all, we went to the Hendersonville parade and it was a pretty good show. Especially the Lyme Disease awareness float...
The boys craft on sunday was to make themselves look like santa....I think it was a success.
Blake wanted to borrow my sunglasses because his were lost and then of course he wanted me to take his picture.
The other crafting that went on this past week at my home was me putting up backsplash. It was actually pretty fun and not too hard. I watched a youtube video and went at it! Got it done in a day and I love it! Also got some stools for an early christmas gift. I also love them. I love that the boys can eat breakfast right there while I put away dishes in the morning. I also love that Nathan can work on his homework right there while I make dinner. I just love it!
