"Before" house pictures

We bought a house! All summer long we searched and searched for THE house and finally closed on it on August 28th. The house is just a few miles from Asheville, NC in Arden, NC. It is in a neighborhood that was built in the late 70's with lots and lots of trees. The houses all have lots of character and big lots. Schools are awesome and it is close to lots of things that we need. The house sits on 1.3 acres and you can just barely see yours neighbors through all the trees, so it very private and quite. You feel like you are in the mountains somewhere, yet you are only 4 minutes from walmart, target, etc. It is 2,000 square feet, 3 bedrooms and a bonus room, 2 bathrooms. We got a great deal on the house because it needed a lot of work and sat on the market for 2 years. I could see the potential in this house, but didn't realize how much we would end up doing (which I will talk about in some later posts). We just moved in last week, which means we have been working tirelessly for 2 months to get it so that we could move in. Here are some before pictures of the house. The living room has the big windows with a fireplace opposite the windows. The bonus room also has a fireplace. Again, we have done A LOT of work on this house, like $35,000 to be frank, so keep your eye out for the progress posts. The bottom picture is our driveway, the lot is so pretty, it is my favorite part of the house!
