Peeps into Progress

Kitchen appliances come out
Kitchen cabinets come out, tray ceiling and nasty old lights come out( all lights in the house were replaced), part of wall and beam come out, 3 layers of flooring come off( not just in the kitchen, but in the entire house)
New recessed lights, drywall, painted window, wallpaper off (which by the way, there was a lot of wall paper in this house)
New paint, lights, and floor
Finishing the floors. I had got this stuff and I didn't like it. So we had to sand it down and start again. I found some stuff on the internet that I ended up using. Blah...that was stressful!
New appliances and half of the cabinets in
Living room: We scraped popcorn ceiling in the ENTIRE house! That took a really really long time and it was really really messy. So worth it and it was easy, just time consuming. Also, painted all the window trim white because all the doors and window trim were wood. They needed to be white. Also, ceiling fan...strike...your out!
Sprayed all the doors with a paint sprayer. Life saver because hand painting all the trim (3 coats) took a total of 48 hours to do. So it would have taken even longer to hand paint the doors!
This is where we dumped all the carpet before it was picked up. That black blob is a bat...a live bat...in my house! Alex caught it with two cups.
New light, paint, and floors in living room.
So this is the front on the house. We did not buy the house with tarps on it. When we pulled up the carpet, we found water damage...and lots of it. Long story short...the deck was the problem and it had to go.
So Alex spent a saturday taking it down. The siding also came off and the three sliding doors were replaced with windows. This was the emotional unexpected part that has cost a lot of money and is what made us not be able to move in for a month more. Also, we still don't have siding on our house because we didn't budget for that.
